The objective of this project was to create a print magazine ad for a business or service of our choosing. I wanted to expand on the branding for Design for Tomorrow where previously worked on responsive design for a website design.
The branding was inspired by the 1960s psychedelic era with funky fonts and bright, bold colors. I wanted to play off of the phrase of "everything comes back around again." I used a popular style from history and put a modern twist to it. The vision behind the logo was created with hand-made psychedelic font while using white space to create an arrow. I wanted to show we are moving forward as a society, but continue to be inspired by historical themes, styles, and designs.
The design for this ad was heavily inspired by creating a modern idem like a robot and applying a funky aesthetic to it to make the handmade type in both the logo and header of the advertisement.
