Inspired by Art Nouveau, I designed this Instagram graphic for a made-up business called Julie's Floral Shop. This school project challenged me to apply a historical design style from the Early Modern Era to a modern context.
I aimed to create the iconic red-haired girl with the halo holding a rose. The girl is simple in design, while the green bricks are very detailed, which creates something balanced and pleasing to the eyes. I also incorporated a common photography composition of having the dominant eye in the center of the image. It draws your eyes toward the focal point of the design while also creating a sense of harmony, peace, and balance. I blended the delicate lines, floral elements, and natural motifs of Art Nouveau with the beauty of a floral shop. I wanted to create an elegant and timeless brand that feels modern and classical.
