Our class was engaged in a self-directed research project all semester long. We took all that we learned from our projects and applied it to a contemporary design problem that shows how relevant, effective, and attractive historical styles and processes can still be used today.
I blended what I learned with my artistic voice to create something unique and conversation-worthy. This benchmark project measured my development in the art of synthesis, which demonstrates the highest form of artistic intelligence.
My research project was on how Art Deco affected the design and building of The Empire State Building. This project was based on my research. I decided to create a graphic advertisement poster for The Empire State Building in the Art Deco style.
